Oh my goodness! Literally like heaven in a teaspoon. You may notice the word avocado in the title and this may be causing a slight sense of repulsion and disgust as you try to picture chocolate and avo being in the same mouthful. And yes, it does seem like a really odd concept, but you’re going to have to trust me on this one. It truly is divine!
The creamy texture of the avo is what gives this healthy dessert its mousse-like nature. It is also a really healthy and nutritious alternative to any other sugar filled dessert.
Avocado: full of good fats which can protect your body against a range of diseases. Avos have 35% more potassium than bananas and are high in vitamin B6, vitamin K, folic acid and omega 3,6 and 9.
Greek yoghurt: an excellent source of calcium, potassium, zinc, protein and vitamins B6 and B12. Contains probiotic cultures and is lower in lactose with twice the protein of regular yoghurt.
It’s super-duper simple! Blend together in a food processor: 1 ripe avocado, 2 tablespoons of cocoa, 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of Greek yoghurt, 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence.
And BAM, there it is! A deliciously creamy, chocolatey, moreish and nutrient filled dessert!
